State of the App

the last week we’ve had conversations with some leading organizations in the effort to secure our elections. USVoteFoundation has graciously given us access to election official contact information that we are working on integrating. This is incredibly important information that you’d think the government would make public, but instead it makes it difficult. And USVoteFoundation has stepped in to consolidated this data into a useable format.   

We’re also working on enhancing the user experience of getting twenty bajillion action items. I turns out there are a LOT of people who a) are responsible for some aspect of elections at all three levels of government and b) each one of them needs to hear from every citizen who is concerned about not having a paper ballot backup for any election

State of Things 

The hits just keep coming! We heard about the 11 year old hacking into a replica election website. And Microsoft saying they’ve discovered new attacks on conservative groups. Now a `17 year old hacked a state election At some point you’d think this would become an important issue for everyone.

There’s Still Time

The good news is that there’s still time. Tusli Gabbard talked  recently with the Young Turks about how quickly Virginia was able to implement paper backups – “within week.”  Therse IS TIME.  It is also time to take action..

Truly, election security is an issue at the heart of what it means to be an American citizen. We’ve asked people to die for this right, it’s our turn to protect it.  And!!  And! And…  All it takes is a little bit from a lot of people
