Is Georgia On Your Mind?

If you’re a Freedom-loving American citizen, it oughta be.  Georgia is one of 5 states that has zero paper record of votes. And the person in charge of elections in Georgia is also a candidate for Governor. And there are real, legitimate questions about the handling of elections in Georgia. It was under his watch in 2017 that the state of Georgia deleted 2016 election data “during routine maintenance” the day after a lawsuit was filed to examine the data.

Why should this concern a voter in, say, California?  Or Washington, which currently votes on paper ballots.  Their elections are secure and verifiable. Why does it matter what happens in Georgia’s local elections?

Fundamentally, every American citizen has the right to vote, and every vote should be counted fairly and accurately. We ask men and women from every state and territory to risk life and limb for Freedom, which is expressed as the act of casting a ballot.  

These five states alone represent 20% of the electoral college. Which means that digital malfeasance in the elections of these states could have a deciding factor on the Presidency, representation in the Congress, not to mention the composition of state and local government.

Anything that undermines the sanctity and security of elections is the most pernicious attack on our sovereignty and should be regarded with the utmost resistance. 

Doubt about the accuracy and fairness of elections is a cancer that will weaken the very core of our country and democracy.  When the rest of the world sees Democracy(TM) is demonstrably tampered with in the United States, our global influence is diminished and our collective faith in the government so many have died for is harmed.

We have to ask ourselves as Americans – was the death and sacrifice of every veteran in vain?  

We should therefore vote on paper ballots everywhere and every state should be compelled to adhere to a national standard of risk-limiting audits and paper ballots. We believe this should be a national priority and that every American should insist that every American’s vote is treated fairly and accurately.
